Editing- 1st Draft

To edit my video i used movie maker on an apple mac, this was the first time i have used any apple sorfware and so at first i was unsure how to use it. However, i found it very simple to use and quickly picked it up and was soon using it confidently. The only real issue i had with using this was that it often froze and i had to restart it losing quite a bit of work a couple of times. As soon as i realised this was going to be a reoccuring problem i had to get into the habit of saving the project after everything i did. Also, at times the project would take a good 20minutes to load which was valuable time wasted.
As i thought after filming the band in room sequence, these shots looked very unprofessional and were often out of time and messy. After attempting to make them fit in with the music at the right time, turned out to be almost impossible and so i soon abandoned that idea and decided to go all narrative insted. As i got some way through i video i started to panic i didnt have enough film without the performance, however luckily i did just about and managed to fill the whole of the song.
I started to edit before i had completed all the filming, this didnt turn out to be much of an issue as i just slotted in the extra shots after editing most of the video.
A few of the shots were very dark, this was easily put right by using a tool on effects which lets you edit light, dark and contrast.
Overall, i am happy with my first draft, i think i managed to gety the storyline across successfully abd the fact that i didnt use any band scenes doesn't appear to let the project down in any way. However i need to get feedback from an audience to determine whether my judgement is right. After hearing their opinions i can then go on to decide on any amendments i may want to make.
